Who may apply

Public charities (non-profit organizations) incorporated in Canada, Mexico or the USA may apply. Other organizations or individuals may apply if they have a fiscal sponsor. If the applicant is not an established public charity (a 501c3 in the US, or an Asociación Civil in Mexico), the project will need a "Fiscal Sponsor". A Fiscal Sponsorship is a legal mechanism by which an established public charity provides financial and administrative assistance to selected projects. A Fiscal Sponsorship allows the project to solicit tax-deductible contributions from individuals, foundations, corporations or governmental organizations.
